The Guidelines

Please do not submit any desktops which infringe on the copyrights of others! Offending sets will be removed at the request of the copyright holder.

To support everyone's resolution, please make sure you create your desktop(s) at 2560px x 1600px, and upload them as .jpeg or .pdf.

  • Be creative! This is meant to inspire others. Above all, have fun... after all it's art, not math!
  • Try to stay away from text (unless it's a typography piece, a texture or a small credit to you as the artist) If your desktop has a large title or saying on it, chances are it won't get accepted.
  • No pop culture references
  • Try not to make your desktop too busy. Desktoptopia caters to mac users who want inspirational and usable desktop designs. To that end, try to make the busy parts of the desktop appear on the left side instead of the right side.
